Thank you for your exceptional analysis of Deep Industries Limited in your recent newsletter. Your detailed breakdown of the company's numbers and insightful coverage of its future plans were truly impressive.
The clarity and depth of your research have provided immense value to readers like me, offering a comprehensive understanding of the company's position in the oil and gas sector and its potential growth trajectory. Such well-crafted content not only informs but also inspires confidence in making informed decisions.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I look forward to reading more of your insightful pieces in the future!
Most welcome, Mr. Yanamala .. and thank you very much for your kind appreciation and warm words.
It's my goal & passion to deliver clear, insightful content that helps readers make informed decisions. Your thoughtful encouragement truly motivates me to keep delivering 🙌
Thank you for the in-depth analysis, Shankar ji! I truly appreciate it and look forward to more detailed analyses in the future. As an avid reader of your newsletter, I am particularly interested in your exit framework for the companies you have analyzed. Understanding when to exit a position is crucial, and I believe your insights on this would be invaluable. Will you be sharing exit analyses for these companies in the future?
Additionally, I know you have plans to enhance this newsletter into a freemium model soon. I am eagerly anticipating this transition and would love to hear any updates regarding it. Thank you once again for your thorough analysis, and I look forward to your continued insights.
Most welcome, I'm glad you liked this edition Harshit ji
1. My exit framework is the exact opposite of the entry framework. When entering a stock, there's a simple thesis based on growth rate, margin, initiatives and valuation. If the stock starts moving away from any of these, a review is warranted and that's where I decide to remain or buy more or exit the stock. I've exited some 6-7 of them in the last 1.5 years and much to my relief, most of them have remained stuck at the exit price or have gone to worse
2. Further follow-ups of the companies I have discussed in the newsletter will become part of the paid community. Exit will be a part of the follow-up and so will be important corporate announcements, quarterly earnings, corporate actions etc.
3. Right now, I don't have any plans of charging anything for the newsletter. Instead, I'll prefer to keep the newsletter free to the extent I can and as a monetization loop, I'll charge for the community instead. This way starters or readers who can track companies by themselves will continue with the free (but complete) product -- and others who want updated analysis, information, learning or they just want to support me, can be a part of the community setup.
Thank you for the update Shankar ji! I'm eagerly anticipating the announcement for the paid community. I'd love to stay informed about the follow-ups on the companies you've shared, as your analysis has been invaluable in helping me develop a mental model of these companies.
I remember calculating intrinsic value in my study days in Professor Bakshi's class but I haven't used it in a very long time. I don't bother no more with the intrinsic value -- because that too is changing from time to time as new information comes to light. Instead I prefer catching onto the trend of EPS rising & moderate valuation .. and track that direction on a quarterly basis
Having said this, I have noticed that is something called "intrinsic value" in screener. I suggest one doesn't use that, without understanding the formula atleast
Thank you 🙌 .. I use screener, bseindia, telegram (free reports are available there although these are quite complicated), valuepickr, X (previously twitter), Google news etc. for research. The most critical resource is ofcourse the company earnings call transcripts, presentation and annual report
Thanks for sharing this will be helpful for the community as well.
I am a new learner in this space and currently
- Reading zerodha varsity
- Watching your youtube videos
Still I would like to learn a lot before investing. Would want to develop my own opinions rather than following others, even if its you sir. To be clear this is not a disrespect to your analysis but rather a motivation for me to do research like you 😊.
Most welcome. Yes, I have thought of it multiple times and I've concluded that the "see you more frequently" part is a twin-edged sword. Pls allow me to explain
Currently, I'm sharing only high conviction ideas. However in the quest of posting more frequently, average conviction ideas might creep in or the quality of the newsletter might go down.
Curious to know -- would a little fluidity in quality of ideas be an acceptable compromise for you?
You are 100% right. As a stock market investor, we also need to study as per our limited capability and decide to proceed. Specifically, in this particular case (Deep), by the time you have started to study and we get to know this company, the stock has doubled, if not more.
Seeing your previous posting about some of the stocks' success, I am confident about your judgement. You may please think about the possibility of a one-to-one basis trial with me. I have my full confidence to proceed with you.
Looks like we have missed both Zaggle and Deep recently.
Dear Sir, You have done an exceptionally thorough analysys of Deep Industries. After reading your analysis the only thing to do is buy Deep. I did so with confidence and hope to see more than good results. With best wishes
Another deep hidden that you've rigged! Thanks a lot for the same.
I'm in to machine learning and genAI, like training and evaluating LLMs(Large language models) and since a last few months into prompt engineering to exploit the chatgpt or perplexity.ai type of chatbots. I was thinking if your domain expertise in analysing financials can be combined with the LLMs and we can get out something interesting, more scalable as well.
Thank you for your kind words, Pradeep ji .. and my sincere appreciation for considering me for building an AI-driven research assistant.
Unfortunately, I'm a bit too full with projects (newsletter, videos, smallcase, RA registration, community etc.) and it won't be possible for me to start another one. If my situation changes, I'll reconnect back with you. But yes, thanks for the kind note
Thank you Shankar ji for another excellent deep dive analysis of a company. Already benefitted immensely from the previous months newsletter where you presented the performance of stocks covered earlier. Keep going Shankar ji.
Thank you, Shankar Sir, for your detailed analysis. While I typically avoid the oil and gas sector, this opportunity appears worth exploring.
