In Issue #009, I dive into BLS International Services Ltd. With strategic expansion & strong financials, BLS is poised for significant growth. This analysis uncovers the why & how much of the upside
This is a great article. I also understood how to calculate EPS for next year and PAT also from the management commentary. Looks like a business which needs more analysis. Great Work Shankar. I had missed this type of articles in the last few months. Thanks for starting again.
extremely helpful article . came here after reading Raymonds demerger article. this matches exactly what I had modeled few days ago. adds to my conviction. thanks
Yet again I'm glad I discovered your newsletter! Read it for the first time via youtube suggestions and it made my day. Thankyou so much for such top grade articles and knowledge you share. Please post something about your views on Dixon technologies as well. Thanks in advance 😃
PS- Currently I'm working on star portfolios and trying to collab then with mine after getting inspired from you
Another solid analysis, thank you. I was pleasantly surprised to see your issue 9 soon after 8th! Look forward to the issue 10 :-)
One question though, Why do you think DIIs are not investing in this stock? Seems like a solid play. Only the shareholding pattern seems a bit strange for me. Its basically promoters and Public. And promoters have sold some shares in the recent times.
Most welcome. Well, we already know that BLS promoters have over 70% holding so there's freefloat of just about 28% here. But let me answer this with some generic data (I am assuming by "low DII stake", you have a number of atleast 5% in your mind)
a) Now there are 4,315 companies that have a mcap of ₹16,000 crores or lower
b) Of these, there are 1,123 companies with a promoter holding of over 70%
c) Of these, there are just 82 companies with a DII holding of over 5%
My read -- one will struggle to see DII holdings in smallcap & microcap companies where the promoter holding is high. Personally I don't use it in my analysis, these kind of metrics only confuse me. I try to focus on revenue/earnings visibility, the business model, quality of management amongst other things.
