Like every problem requires a slightly different solution, I believe no two investments can be looked at from the same lens. In that context, learning different models/approaches will improve an investor's odds to success.
This is so good - learned a lot! Question - is a yield different from the dividend yield? I was looking at the dividend yield of IndiGrid InvIT and that says Nil
Thank you! Yes, an yield is simply return divided by the acquisition price. So in the case of dividend, it is dividend received divided by the price at which the share is bought. InvITs offer 3 sources of remuneration to its unitholders - there's a) dividend, b) interest and c) return of capital. This is collectively called "distribution yield" and this is how an InvIT should be looked at.
Screener.in is a templatized board and doesn't understand this part which is why dividend yield is coming as zero. For more detailed information on this, watch the video I had linked in the InvIT post
